The hardest part about motherhood is watching your child grow up. It’s such an emotional tug of war between being excited about seeing how much your child grows into their own person and yet wanting them to stay a little baby forever. Writing my experiences helps me relive all the precious moments that I don’t want to ever forget. Each time period comes with unique emotions, challenges, and precious memories that should all be celebrated.
This site will serve as my letters to Sareena, documenting her personality & adventures throughout the day and my journey through motherhood. As a stay at home mom, I’m always caught up in the precious moments and feel almost guilty that I’m the only one who gets to experience this bliss. This is a place where I can share casual cell phone pictures & clips, favorite products & random tidbits. The idea to start a site dedicated to this came to me when Sareena was 8 months old and her posts from birth til 9 months were primarily written by me reflected back while my emotions are still fresh and raw. After 9 months, each post was written in real time.
My Parenting Style
I’m a co-sleeping, baby wearing, breastfeeding, natural birthing, holistic mama. I’m all about mothers being in tune with their baby’s needs–the harmony between a mother and her child is such a beautiful thing.
Our family lives a non-toxic lifestyle and believes in using natural & organic products almost exclusively. Gentle parenting comes instinctively to me as a mother, and it’s more important to us both that our daughter is happy, healthy, and has a good heart. We value emotional intelligence & happiness above all.
I truly enjoy motherhood and everything it has to offer. It’s quite the adventure while being truly humbling. I feel as if I’ve found my calling. It challenges me and completes me. 🙂
